Mendez Painting LLC received its very first paint job in 2001. The humble beginnings of that first paint project marked the genesis of a company that is still going strong for 21 years. To understand the success of this company—and its road to exemplary work and service—we have to learn about the man behind the name. At the impressionable age of 16, Gabriel Mendez Sr. began honing his craft under his mentor Michael Meehan. Gabriel relocated to the Metro Atlanta area when he realized Georgia's climate was more conducive to the painting industry. During his first year in Atlanta, he joined a local painting enterprise and subsequently managed the entire company's labor force—increasing their productivity and profitability by 200%. Once he realized the potential of running his own company, he ventured into becoming an intrepid, self-made entrepreneur in the robust market of the Empire City of the South. From our first paint job, through two decades of the changing socio-economic landscape, until our current pandemic-driven climate today, Mendez Painting, LLC still maintains the outstanding quality Atlanta has learned to believe in and trust.
Meet Your Local Team
Gabriel Mendez Sr. began Mendez Painting, LLC two decades ago. Before he migrated to the warmer climate of Georgia, he lived in the Northwest. He had the privilege of being trained by one of the highest skilled painters in Pro Painters of America. Under his mentor’s guidance, Gabriel developed a keen eye for detail and business acumen beyond his years. After over two decades of building his company, the splendid businessman spends most of his time meeting clients, supervising projects/ teams. Among other responsibilities of running a business, he maintains a disciplined and active lifestyle, regularly working out and attending dance classes (yes, he can dance!). A family man through and through, Gabriel takes his kin on Sunday hikes, attends his youngest son’s soccer games, and spends his free time enjoying their company in their favorite restaurant. Stop by the office or call. Get to know the admirable man behind the brand people have grown to depend on and admire.
Ruth, the first of Gabriel's children to join the family business, has a distinct fondness for her siblings and soccer. She dotes on them, taking them on adventures in the city, and loves attending her youngest brother's soccer games on the weekends. She even coaches a little girls’ soccer team. During the workweek, you can find Ruth either in the office running the shop, or traveling all over the city and its outskirts, giving free estimates to clients and potential customers. Filling the role of a project manager, Ruth visits job sites and checks on the crew, ensuring they uphold the top-notch standards of MPL. Whenever you stop by the office, Ruth's friendly disposition will always greet you. She will give you an answer to all your painting project questions. You'll enjoy talking with her, for sure! Besides, who can't like someone whose favorite book is Where The Red Ferns Grow?
Gabriel Emanuel Mendez steps up to run the family business alongside his sister, following in his father’s footsteps. A Georgia-born native, he knows the Atlanta culture and city like the back of his hand. An athlete and soccer aficionado, one could find him at the gym, at the soccer field, or the local sports bar (you guessed it) cheering for his favorite soccer team. It's not all fun and games for Gabe, though. During the workweek, he goes about the serious work of diligently taking copious measurements for painting projects, meeting with clients, job-site and crew managing, giving free estimates, and just simply making sure each project runs without a hitch. Eager to hone his craft, he dedicates himself to the family business, always making himself available to his father and sister. If you ever spot him at the field or the local pub cheering his favorite soccer team, say 'hello'! Gabe is always happy to shake your hand or grab a beer.
